Zinaida Ilinichna Zatsepina was born on October 23, 1913 in the village New Kalitva of the Voronezh region, Russia.
From 1933 to 1936 she studied at Tambov Art College, and from 1937 to 1939 - at the Penza Art College.
From 1945 she lived and worked in Kiev.

In 1948 Zatsepina graduated from the Kiev Institute of Art .
She was a teacher at art schools in Penza (1938 - 1939), Kiev (1940 - 194) and Krasnodar (1941 - 1942).

Since 1949 she took active part at the national art exhibitions.

In 1954 Z.I.Zatsepina participated in the exhibition of art works by artists - marine of the USSR in Moscow.
Since that time she was an active member of the international art exhibitions.
Her personal exhibitions were held in India (1959), Kiev (1977) and Penza (1979).

Zatsepina was a wife of famous Ukrainian artist Sulimenko.
Zatsepina worked in the field of easel painting. Her favorite genres were portraits, landscapes, still lifes and genre paintings.

Zatsepina's paintings are represented at the National Art Museum of Ukraine, art museums of Odessa, Poltava, Nikolaev, Simferopol, in private collections in Ukraine and abroad.
