Egorov Boris K.

Boris Egorov is a Soviet Ukrainian artist who is especially famous as the author of portraits and landscapes.
He was born in 1925 in town Znamenka, of the Kirovograd region (Ukraine).
From 1945 to 1950 he studied in the Odessa Art Colledge.
His paintings are exhibited at the regional, national and international art exhibitions since 1950.
He was a member of the Artists Union of the USSR since 1972.
In the 50s of the last century Boris Egorov met and then became friends with granddaughter and great-granddaughter of Taras Shevchenko. This friendship has inspired the artist to create paintings about Shevchenko. These paintings are currently kept in the Museum of Znamenka and in Kirovograd Regional Art Museum.
Personal exhibition of Egorov was held In Zaporozhye Art Museum in October 2012.
Egorov's painting's are represented in Zaporozhye, Kirovograd, Kiev and Odessa Art Museums, in private collections in Ukraine and abroad. More than 150 of his paintings are stored in the State Art Fund of Ukraine.
