A.I. Shuldizhenko- Stakhov ( 1922-1988) was a man of rich and complicated destiny.
He served in Soviet and Polish armies during World War Two and was held prisoner by the Nazis Camps. After war he moved to England and lived in London, where he stayed until 1954. During this period he studied both painting and philosophy and worked in an antique shop. In 1954, at the age of 32, he decided to return to his homeland and crossed the entire continent on foot.
The artist saw his own-work as an investigation of people's perception of contemporary art and the mass media, as well as illustrating his own life. His art is unique strand of contemporary art.
The organizers exhibitions consider artist to be a graphic of “ meditative post- expressionism”.
New artist's links have been discovered between the Britain and Ukraine - works of a London art school graduate,who was born in Kiev , are exhibited in art-nostalgie.com.ua.
